Many years ago (more like eons ago) my mother bought a small Kodak camera for me as a birthday gift and I started taking snapshots. Photography, however, didn’t become a serious hobby until after I retired several years ago. Since then, I’ve learned that making progress with a hobby such as photography is a process within itself. That process has required initiative. That process has also required a strong commitment to keep trying even when my photographs haven’t always materialized in the way that I had envisioned or anticipated.

But the good news is that each time I frame up an image, I have an opportunity to make even greater progress with the craft. And in the words of Cole Thompson, I’m beginning to “Love what I take, and take what I love”.

And while still occasionally frustrated, I know that I am blessed because I’m able to appreciate the wonderful, and sometimes unusual things in my surroundings.

Thanks for visiting my site. I hope you enjoy looking at my photographs as much as I enjoyed taking them. Shalom.
